Our Benefits
We go beyond just recognising your talent and hard work. Your health, lifestyle and financial wellbeing are our priority and we’ve designed a benefits package to match, so you can focus on the really important things in life.
Rewarding you
At DF Capital we work very hard to create an environment that enables you to thrive and be at your best. To enable this, we make the commitment to support, drive and develop your performance; with equal focus on ‘what’ you do and ‘how’ you do it.
All permanent colleagues are eligible to take part in our discretionary bonus scheme to reward your hard work, commitment, and achievements. Scheme rules are dependent on your role and are communicated accordingly at the beginning of the performance year.
The Group Pension Plan provides a full 10% employer contribution with no mandatory employee contribution. There is no minimum or maximum amount you must contribute, however if you do wish to contribute, your contributions will be taken as a salary sacrifice agreement. This is an extremely valuable benefit, helping you save for retirement.
All colleagues are eligible to 30 days holiday each year in addition to bank and public holidays.
At DF Capital we have a passion for giving back to our local communities and believe strong local communities benefit our customers and colleagues. Our overall commitment to building a sustainable and brighter future is grounded in the belief that it is our colleagues who make all the difference. DF Capital colleagues are provided with four days of paid volunteering leave per year.
Because we want you to stay fit and healthy, we provide gym membership via GymFlex. With over 3,600 gyms throughout the UK for you to choose from, including Virgin Active, Bannatynes and David Lloyd to name but a few, whether you’re a swimmer, a gym-er or a lifter there is an option to suit all of us.
Our enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave package is designed to support you and your family when you need it most. Dependent on length of service, our maternity and adoption leave package includes full salary for the first eight weeks of leave and a further eight weeks half pay. For paternity, dependent on length of service, we offer up to two weeks full pay.
Our cycle to work scheme operated in partnership with Cyclescheme enables you to obtain bikes and cycling accessories with DF Capital covering the initial cost. Cyclescheme is a salary sacrifice colleague benefit and the cost is split over 12 monthly instalments, encouraging you to enjoy healthier journeys to and from work, whilst doing your bit for the environment and offsetting your carbon footprint.
Help you take care of your health
We offer all our colleagues a market-leading private medical healthcare scheme, so that everyone can have the care and peace of mind when they really need it.
Private medical cover includes Babylon which gives you access to see a GP, on video link, from home
For colleagues who have not opted into the Private Medical Insurance scheme but still want to have access to a Digital GP, Help@Hand is available to you. It offers access to remote GPs, mental health support, physiotherapy, medical second opinions and well-being support. A prescription delivery service also comes with this benefit.
If diagnosed with, or having difficulty with the diagnosis of a serious medical condition or injury, Best Doctors connects you to the best minds in medicine to help ensure you get the right answers about your condition, diagnosis, or treatment plan, allowing you to make informed medical decisions. In short it gives you peace of mind at a time when you need answers most. Your immediate family are also able access this benefit.
Our EAP offers information and support on a wide range of topics, affecting you at work and home, with the end goal of helping you lead and maintain a healthy lifestyle. These services are free, confidential, and easily accessible – available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
For many of us, caring for someone we love can be a rewarding meaningful experience, however trying to work whilst at the same time caring for children, parents, grandparents or even sometimes all three, can also lead to stress in the form of strained relationships, anxieties, tiredness, and illness. In recognition of these significant pressures, Eldercare offers support and advice to support you through those difficult times.
We understand that menopause affects everyone differently, and we want to ensure those that are impacted receive the best possible support during this time. We therefore offer a comprehensive Menopause Treatment Plan through Bupa, regardless of whether you have private medical cover.
The plan includes consultations with an experienced GP trained in menopause and 24/7 Anytime HealthLine access for unlimited nurse advice.
Helping you take care of your finances
This benefit covers 75% of your salary in the event of a long-term illness or injury, as well as rehabilitation services to ensure you get the right treatment.
Our life assurance scheme pays out a lump sum of four times your basic salary to your nominated beneficiary. This benefit is intended to provide families with financial support if the very worst should happen.
Our electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme is a bit like the cycle to work scheme, but for electric cars. The scheme can save you up to 40% on the cost of driving a brand-new electric car with no upfront costs, maintenance, tyres, insurance and more. Like the cycle to work scheme, the cost of the vehicle comes out of your gross pay. You can have up to two vehicles on the scheme.
For colleagues who are out in the field, we offer a fully expensed electric company car scheme, as an alternative option to receiving a car allowance. We’ll even include the installation of an electric charger at your home address. Just another one of our commitments to help colleagues live more sustainably.
To help colleagues get the best deal on an annual season ticket or parking pass, we offer a loan (up to a maximum value of £3,000) by way of an interest free loan. Colleagues then pay back this loan in ten or twelve-monthly instalments from their net salary (after tax and National Insurance have been deducted).
Being a shareholder at DF Capital allows you to benefit, alongside other shareholders, in the firm’s successes but participating in this plan allows you to build up a savings pot too. Periodically on a discretionary basis, DF Capital offers colleagues the opportunity to become a shareholder through a SAYE scheme. The schemes allow colleagues to save from as little as £5 per month up to £500 per month and at the end of the three years, colleagues have an opportunity to buy shares at a 20% discount (the price is set at the beginning of the three years). If colleagues don’t want to buy shares at the end of the three years, then they can take their savings back – it’s a win-win!
