For the environment

We will play our part in the transition towards a climate friendly world. We believe protecting the environment is a global mission and we have our own part to play, in helping the UK reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050.

Our targets

We have completed our own carbon footprint baseline analysis and continue to update our measures against this baseline and intensity level.

In 2023, we partnered with Normative to implement a carbon accounting platform, which marked a pivotal moment in understanding and mitigating our environmental impact. We report on our regulatory requirements in line with the Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (“SECR”) and voluntarily disclose various categories under scope 3.

We commit to reporting all emissions, including financed emissions, to be incorporated into our reporting framework by the end of 2026, as outlined in our roadmap. This commitment forms the foundation for establishing sustainable targets in line with our reduction-first strategy. Collaborating closely with climate advisors and specialists from Normative, we aim to define a net-zero roadmap by 2026, outlining clear targets, milestones, and regular assessments.

Additionally, we use the volunteering app onHand, with trees planted for every mission we undertake through the platform. We have planted nearly 3,000 trees to date in this way.

Travel and commuting are significant aspects of our carbon footprint and we have therefore encouraged our employees to participate in sustainable and low carbon travel initiatives. Some examples of this are:

  • Season ticket loans to support the use of public transport
  • A tax efficient Cycle To Work scheme
  • Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme
  • Electric vehicle company car fleet

These benefits allow employees access to affordable and more environmentally conscious travel.
